Route A and B
The South Tyrol Cycle Path is the perfect opportunity for all cycling enthusiasts to discover the variety that South Tyrol has to offer. Whether it's the mystical presence of the numerous fortresses and castles, the idyllic green countryside of the picturesque valleys or the calming sounds of the clear streams and lakes, the South Tyrol Cycle Path caters for every taste. It connects all seven towns in South Tyrol along a varied and adventurous cycling tour. You will travel from one cultural stronghold to the next on your journey through the breathtaking landscape of South Tyrol.
Route A
This option of the South Tyrol Cycle Path starts its 1st section in the merchant town of Sterzing/Vipiteno, running past mighty Franzensfeste fortress, through the green countryside of the Pustertal Valley to Bruneck/Brunico. It is in this lively town that the 2nd section starts, leading past Franzensfeste fortress again until arriving at the cathedral town of Brixen/Bressanone. The 3rd section involves following the Isarco River past the artists' town of Klausen/Chiusa on the way to the province capital of Bozen/Bolzano, which, via way of a diversion to the Kalterer See lake, sees the start of the 4th section to the spa town of Meran/Merano. The final section then takes cyclists from Meran/Merano right through rustic Venosta Valley, until they find themselves in front of the solid town walls of Glurns/Glorenza.

This option of the South Tyrol Cycle Path starts its 1st section in South Tyrol's smallest town, Glurns/Glorenza, running right through rustic Venosta Valley to the spa town of Meran/Merano. The 2nd section leaves the spa town to head in the direction of Kalterer See lake before proceeding to Bozen/Bolzano. The province capital is also the starting point for the 3rd section, which runs through Valle Isarco past the idyllic artists' town of Klausen/Chiusa to the cathedral town of Brixen/Bressanone. On the 4th section cyclists go through the green countryside of the Pustertal Valley to Bruneck/Brunico in order to pedal towards the merchant town of Sterzing/Vipiteno through Pustertal Valley and, after Franzensfeste fortress, Valle Isarco, in the final section of the South Tyrol Cycle Path.
