Klausen/Chiusa
The idyllic artists' town of Klausen/Chiusa lies at the foot of the historical Säben mountain, guarded by Burg Branzoll fortress and Säben cloister. Albrecht Dürer was known to appreciate and sketch this active, lively town. This little town in Valle Isarco is considered to be the capital of 'Törggelen' culture, which involves tasting the year's new wine and eating chestnuts. The annual 'Gassltörggelen' festival, held all over the town, is a well-known and popular event in Valle Isarco.
